New Devart Python Connectors Add Broader Compatibility and Stronger Security

We are thrilled to announce a major update to our Python Connectors line. The release adds support for Python 3.14, PostgreSQL 18, MySQL 9, and MariaDB 12, introduces modern authentication and security options, and delivers notable performance gains across several connectors.

Support for Python 3.14

At Devart, we’re committed to keeping your projects current and ready for modern workloads. With this update, you gain access to the latest language features and runtime enhancements—reducing upgrade risks and accelerating the adoption of new frameworks and tools.

Expanded authentication and security options

Bearer token authentication

We have added support for Bearer Token authentication when using HTTP and HTTPS tunnels for Oracle, PostgreSQL, QuestDB, Redshift, MySQL, ASE, SQL Server, SQL Azure, and SQL Synapse. This update makes it possible to authenticate not only with traditional login and password but also using Bearer Tokens, making it easier to work with modern identity and access systems.

Password-protected private keys for SSL

For ASE, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, you can now use SSL connections with password-protected private keys, adds an extra layer of security and ensures compliance with corporate data protection standards.

Performance and compatibility improvements

  • Python Connector for PostgreSQL: Along with support for PostgreSQL 18, the connector now offers faster connection initialization, providing faster response times for high-load applications and servers.
  • Python Connector for MySQL: In addition to supporting MySQL 9 and MariaDB 12, the connector now works with the UUID, INET4, and INET6 data types. These updates ensure full compatibility with the latest database versions and give developers more flexibility in managing modern data.
  • Python Connector for MS Access: Performance of DML operations within transactions has been significantly enhanced. In addition, new configuration parameters — CacheSize, CacheLifetime, and PartialIndex — allow users to fine-tune performance in ExclusiveLock mode.
  • Python Connector for xBase: Compatibility with the HiPerSix database format has been improved, ensuring smoother integration and more stable data access for xBase environments.
  • Python Connector for Firebird: Users can now choose the desired network protocol when establishing connections, offering more control and adaptability in diverse network configurations.
  • Python Connector for Oracle: The connector now supports the BOOLEAN data type and passwords longer than 30 characters. It also introduces auto-login wallets to simplify authentication while keeping connections secure.
  • Python Connector for HubSpot: The range of supported tables has been expanded, giving users access to a broader set of CRM data for analysis and integration.
  • Python Connector for Zoho CRM: The connector now works with data centers in Canada and Saudi Arabia, helping organizations run regional deployments and follow local data storage requirements.
