Review Assistant 4.3 Expands Visual Studio 2026 Support and Simplifies Report Access

We are happy to announce the release of Review Assistant 4.3, introducing support for integration with Visual Studio 2026 and a more practical permissions model for viewing project reports.

Visual Studio 2026 integration

Review Assistant 4.3 R1 extends compatibility to Visual Studio 2026, helping teams upgrade their development environment while keeping review workflows uninterrupted inside the IDE.

Permissions to view reports

Teams often rely on reports to track progress and quality, but many organizations need stricter control over administrative privileges. In 4.3 R1, Review Assistant improves report permissions so developers don’t need to be assigned an “Owner” role just to access reporting.

What’s improved

  • Users assigned the Member role can now view project reports without being granted broad administrative privileges.
  • The Viewer role continues to have restricted access and cannot view reports.

Teams reached out to us with feedback that forcing every developer into an Owner role just to view reports creates unnecessary risk. We’re always open to user requests and continuously refine Review Assistant based on real-world team workflows. In Review Assistant 4.3, Members can access the reports they need, while administrators keep control where it belongs.
