What’s New in Devart Python Connectors: Support for Python 3.13, Enhanced Work With Queries, and More

Another release is coming your way! This time we have rolled out an update for our collection of high-performance Devart Python Connectors, which help access a variety of database servers and cloud services from Python applications and facilitate CRUD operations with data. What we’ve got for you today includes full support for the latest release of Python, 3.13, a number of enhancements that will make your query writing easier, and a couple of other nifty tweaks that will definitely come in handy in your everyday work.

Interested? Let’s have a closer look.

All Python Connectors

  • First and foremost, we have added support for Python 3.13 to all Devart Python Connectors.

Python Connector for PostgreSQL

  • Here, we have added support for the recently released PostgreSQL 17.
  • We have also added support for pgvector, an open-source PostgreSQL extension that provides vector similarity search capabilities.
  • Finally, now it’s possible to connect to PostgreSQL databases in the newly implemented read-only mode; it works perfectly for cases when the accessed data must not be modified.

Python Connector for Microsoft Access

  • For this Connector, we have implemented support for SELECT and UNION queries, which work similarly to views in other database systems. Now they can be executed in the Direct mode.

Python Connector for ASE

  • Here, we have added an option that shows object metadata for the current schema only. It’s a very helpful option in case there are multiple schemas in your database with a huge list of objects. From now on, you can conveniently narrow it all down and save your precious time.

Python Connector for xBase

  • From now on, you are free to use the BITTEST function in SQL queries.

Python Connector for HubSpot

  • For this connector, we have implemented support for associations, which represent the relationships between objects and activities in HubSpot. Record associations can exist between records of different objects (e.g., Contact to Company), as well as within the same object (e.g., Company to Company). You can use the associations endpoints to create, retrieve, update, or delete associations between records, or records and activities.

Python Connector for Zoho CRM

  • Now you can work with the Zoho data hosted in Canadian data centers.

That’s it for today! Now when all is said and done, we invite you to download and explore our updated connectors to see these new features and improvements in action.
