Curious? Let’s take a look at what awaits you in this release.

  • The first thing worth mentioning is support for the recently released RAD Studio 12 Athens – Release 2 (12.2), which focuses on completing the features from the previous releases and enhancing the experience with a slew of new capabilities.
  • The same goes for the latest version of another compatible IDE, Lazarus 3.4—you’ve got full support for it as well.
  • UniDAC, our key library of components, has received support for Microsoft Excel. Now you can freely operate with Excel data, both directly and via an ODBC driver. Also note that, besides Windows, you can do it on Linux and macOS.
  • Next, we’ve added C++ Builder demo components for work with SecureBridge to MyDAC, ODAC, SDAC, PgDAC, and UniDAC (covering MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, respectively).
  • SDAC and UniDAC (SQL Server provider) have received support for Variant OUT parameters that can now be used in the Direct mode.
  • For the same components, we’ve added the datetime format, which can now be specified when using the timestamp macros.
  • MyDAC, PgDAC, LiteDAC, and UniDAC have received a WriteBOM option for TUniDump. This option allows turning on/off the addition of BOM to the dump file whenever you save it with the Unicode encoding.
  • PgDAC and UniDAC (PostgreSQL provider) now boast well-enhanced performance during the execution of SELECT queries.
  • For PgDAC, we’ve also implemented support for pgvector, an open-source PostgreSQL extension that allows you to store, query, and index vectors.
  • Next, we’ve added a new option for TUniTable, TUniQuery, and TUniStoredProc in UniDAC. It’s called UseGeneratedColumns, and it allows to turn on/off the use of generated columns in PostgreSQL.
  • One more new option, EnableAutoInc, is now available in UniDAC for UniTable and UniQuery components. The option allows you to use the SQLite AUTOINCREMENT column attribute.
  • UniDAC has received support for the latest NexusDB 4.75.10.
  • Finally, in UniDAC (Microsoft Access provider), we’ve added support for the execution of stored SELECT and UNION queries in the Direct mode. The output of these queries is similar to views in other database systems.
