SecureBridge 10.6 With Support for RAD Studio 12.2 and Lazarus 3.4 Is Out!

We’ve been on a release spree recently, and it seems not to show any signs of stopping. This time, we’ve got some good news for the users of SecureBridge, our top-tier library of client and server components for SSH, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, WebSocket, and SignalR protocols. Today, we have rolled out an update of SecureBridge with a few nifty enhancements that will keep your experience with it at an all-time high.

  • First and foremost, we’d like to mention support for the latest versions of compatible IDEs, namely RAD Studio 12 Athens – Release 2 (12.2) and Lazarus 3.4.
  • Next, we’ve added the ChangePassword method to the TScSSHClient component. Now you can change the password of the current SSH user without any third-party utilities or libraries.
  • In order to facilitate the security of public SMTP services (such as Microsoft Outlook and Gmail), we’ve added a design-time editor for the SASLMechanisms property of the TScSMTPClient component. The editor will help you manage your authentication mechanisms in the most flexible way.
  • We had quite a few questions from our users regarding the usage of WebRequest in general and REST API in particular. Thus, we’ve decided to add a helpful REST API demo that involves the TScHttpWebRequest component and showcases the use of POST and GET requests with authorization.
  • Finally, we have added one more demo that revolves around the mailing operations using the TScSMTPClient component. It was just as well suggested by our users—and we’re truly thankful for all your suggestions.

And if you’re not acquainted with SecureBridge yet, here’s a brief recap. As we said, the solution comprises client and server components for SSH, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, WebSocket, and SignalR protocols. It safeguards your TCP traffic with SSH/SSL protocols and the Cryptographic Message Syntax, providing authentication for client and server, strong data encryption, and data integrity verification. Its components can be used together with data access components to prevent data interception or modification in untrusted networks.

Secure Bridge is very easy to install and use; you only need to place several components on the form and specify the server address and user credentials to establish a secure connection.

You can see the newly updated SecureBridge in action today—just download it for a free 60-day trial and get it ready for work in a wink (our documentation will come in handy).
