How to Access DBF Databases in Delphi

xBase is the generic term for all databases deriving from the original dBase database format (.dbf). The list includes Visual FoxPro, Clipper, dBase III, dBase IV, and many others. These databases are informally known as dBase clones because they are either direct descendants of dBase or mimick it.

SecureBridge 9.1 Is Now Released

The SecureBridge team is proud to announce the release of SecureBridge 9.1. This release includes support for macOS 64-bit, new version 2.0.4 of Lazarus, the SignalR protocol version 2.2, a new key exchange algorithm and improved certificate server validation for the TLS/SSL protocol, among other improvements. New in dbExpress Drivers: Support for 64-bit versions of macOS and Linux

dbExpress driver development team has released updated versions of data access drivers with support for macOS 64-bit and Linux 64-bit. This release addresses potential challenges that  developers of 32-bit database applications may face when Apple ends support for 32-bit applications in macOS 10.15.

EntityDAC now supports macOS 64-bit

Version 2.2 is a minor release of EntityDAC that includes a few improvements and new features. The most notable update in this release is support for the macOS 64-bit operating system. We have also supported the Bytes attribute for the GUID generator.

Data Access Components are now available for macOS 64-bit

Great news for all macOS users: the team behind Delphi DAC adds support for the macOS 64-bit operating system to all Data Access Components. You are no longer limited to 32-bit applications: from now on, build 32-bit or 64-bit versions of database applications for macOS depending on your specific needs.

New release of Data Access Components with support for Lazarus 2.0.2

The long-waited update of Delphi Data Access Components is finally here – Devart is rolling out new versions of  DAC products.

This release introduces support for Lazarus 2.0.2, improved performance of the SaveToFile/LoadFromFile methods of TVirtualTable, a new DefaultSortType property for TVirtualTable, and a range of other smaller but nonetheless important updates.

Devart presented SecureBridge at this year’s Coderage 2018 conference
