New in Delphi DAC: Support for RAD Studio 11 Alexandria Release 2 and Lazarus 2.2.2

We are glad to announce the release of new versions of UniDAC, PgDAC, MyDAC, SDAC, ODAC, IBDAC, LiteDAC, and VirtualDAC.

In new versions, we have supported the RAD Studio 11 Alexandria Release 2 and Lazarus 2.2.2. Moreover, all these Data Access Components now support iOS 15 and Android 12.

Also, in all components, the performance of exporting to XML was improved and the CloneCursor method for Query and Table components that allows sharing data between datasets was added.

We would also like to separately mention the other significant improvements that we have implemented in SDAC, IBDAC, PgDAC, VirtualDAC as well as in UniDAC.

The Direct mode for SQLite is now based on version 3.39.2 of the SQLite engine, which introduced support for RIGHT and FULL OUTER JOIN.

Hereby, in SDAC and UniDAC, Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server 19,  Azure AD authentication for the Microsoft OLE DB provider, and the Always On availability group in the Direct mode were supported. Also, the connection to the Azure database by using the “Redirect” connection policy in the Direct mode was supported.

Working with time zone data types in Firebird when clients don’t have the ICU library was supported. Also, improved support for TIME/TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE data types. Additionally, added support for the isc_dpb_session_time_zone, isc_dpb_set_bind, isc_dpb_decfloat_round, and isc_dpb_decfloat_traps Firebird DPB.

PgDAC and UniDAC now support the PostGIS extension which adds support for geographic objects to the PostgreSQL database. Besides, TimeZoneOffset support for TPgTimeStamp was improved.

In this release, the support for NexusDB 4.60.01 was added in UniDAC. Also, the option to set Remote Thread Priority was added.

VisualFoxPro CANDIDATE indexes were supported for the DBF provider.

The standard collations in a SQL statement in the VirtualQuery component were added.
